When you visit the salon for the first time you are given a full consultation to discover the issues you may be having. We’ll talk about what methods you are currently using to style your hair, and anything else that could be contributing to the your hair health.
The owner, Kathleen Kubrick has a special touch when it comes to finding a great solution for thinning hair. The entire staff is experienced in helping our clients, so you are always in good hands at A Head of the Times.
SOLUTIONS
A goal can be put into place to correct any damage possible and provide better options for future hair care. Our experienced staff can help you determine styling habits that may need adjusted. We can provide many options for your individual needs including: Styling, cutting, perming, and tinting on thinning hair, service and repair of hair replacements, wigs and hairpieces, coloring and highlighting, and more. We can also help with hair extensions however we don’t always recommend them due to the long term damage they can do to hair.
Just the right style and color tones can do wonders for your appearance. Often when clients first come to us they’ve tried other options without success. We are sometimes able to create a new look that covers the problem area simply by understanding your hair texture, growth patterns and correct a cut that may be drawing more attention to the area than desired. Our beauty experience can benefit you.
If you need a wig or hair replacement piece, there are plenty of samples in the salon to try, as well as many other options which are available off the shelf or completely customized for your specific situation.

Both men and women are both affected by thinning hair and baldness. Many of our clients are women, as they also experience thinning and baldness for a variety of reasons.

CAUSES OF THINNING HAIR / HAIR LOSS
In some cases, the loss is not at the scalp. Hair breakage can be the cause of hair not growing longer or fuller. Excessive heat or hair products that damage the hair, causing breakage and preventing growth.
Other factors that come into play and cause hair loss are medications, some medical issues such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and cancer to name a few. We are not medical doctors but after working with individuals over many years, there are cases of decreased hair health with the above issues by our clients.
We do not perform hair replacement surgery of any kind at A Head of the Times Hair Designs.
